# Adjusting the inventory by modifying the number of property

> #### Local inventory: refers to the inventory on Hostex, which is equal to the actual quantity of this room.
>
> #### Online inventory: refers to inventory in online channels such as Booking and Airbnb.

### On the rate page, you can modify the inventory on a specific date.

To use this method to adjust the inventory, you need to set “Stop inventory automatic management” first. Otherwise, the online inventory may be modified again by Hostex's automatic inventory control.
